📚 Quick Reference Cheat Sheet
▼
🟢 CALM Regime (VIX < Baseline)
Trust levels, normal sizing, tighter stops OK. Mean reversion works. Support/resistance holds.
🟡 NEUTRAL Regime (VIX ≈ Baseline)
Reduced sizing, wider stops. Transitional period. Watch for regime change.
🔴 STRESSED Regime (VIX > Baseline)
Small size only, very wide stops. Gaps and spikes common. Levels less reliable.
⚡ Positive GEX (+$B)
Dealers sell rallies, buy dips → Mean reversion. Fade moves to walls. Gamma = stabilizer.
💥 Negative GEX (-$B)
Dealers buy rallies, sell dips → Momentum. Follow trend, don't fade. Gamma = amplifier.
📈 Call Wall (Resistance)
In +GEX = rejection zone. In -GEX = breakout target. Strike with highest positive GEX above spot.
📉 Put Wall (Support)
In +GEX = bounce zone. In -GEX = breakdown target. Strike with most negative GEX below spot.
⚖️ Zero Gamma (Flip Point)
Above = positive regime. Below = negative regime. Transition point for market behavior.
🎯 Best Setups
CALM + Positive GEX = Buy dips to put wall. STRESSED + Negative GEX = Sell bounces to zero gamma.
⚠️ When Analysis Fails
Major news/FOMC, near OPEX (gamma decay), VIX >30, extreme momentum, low liquidity hours.
📅 Edge Decay
Days 1-5 after VIX exp: Strong edge. Days 6-10: Moderate. Days 11+: Weak, wait for reset.
